                                              Consumerism

Today we viewed a video in our social studies class called                                                   "Consumerism. The video was an animated story about a                                                      person who always buy a new phone every time a                                                                new one was released. The message I got from this story is                                                   to be grateful for what you have and you don't need                                                            to have the best of the best in everything because you don't                                                  know how much of an impact of what you do has on the globe.

Science Roadshow

 Science Blog

On Monday the 21st June I helped to run a science roadshow held at Bay Of Island College.Amongst 11 other students I got to be a manager. About four schools came Pahia School, Taumarere, Moerewa school and the yr 9 and 10 students from Bay. First the yr 9s came in they had to sit on the hall floor while instructions and guidelines were given. This happens to every group of students that come in.During the time the students got to play with all the experiments I was making sure that the helpers were doing their jobs and at their given stations, also making sure students weren't being rough with the equipment. It was quite hectic when the yr 10s came in because they were being out of control especially at the honey sampler. When we finished and all the schools had left we paced away all the gear and equipment that we used, at last the bell rang and we all got to go back home.
